What is an Advisory?

Advisories are a new category of issue which help you to identify issues on your network before they happen, or to highlight where there may be issues with your test schedule.

The following Advisories are currently flagged:

  • No monthly test – There is no current test of at least 5 minutes duration on the device.  You should run a 5 minute duration test on these devices.
  • No annual test – There is no current test of at least 3 hours duration on the device.  You should run a 3 hour duration test on these devices as soon as possible..
  • Monthly test expires soon – The current monthly test is due to expire soon.  You should check your test schedule and ensure the light is due to be tested soon.
  • Annual test expires soon – The current annual test is due to expire soon.  You should check your test schedule and ensure the light is due to be tested for a duration of 3 hours soon.
What reports can I generate?

There are 4 main report types which can be created within Lux Intelligent.

  1. Panel Test Report – This report lists the test result and current status of each of the lights on the chosen panel.  You can generate a panel report for an entire network right down to an individual panel.  You can also generate back dated reports where the test data exists.  You can also pick which devices to include, i.e. failed, passed, untested, aborted, skipped and deferred

  2. Maintenance Report – A maintenance report lists only the lights/devices with either a current status issue or a fail for the most recent test.

  3. Advisories Report – An advisory report lists the devices where an advisory notice is in place.  i.e. there is no current monthly or annual test, or the monthly or annual test is due to expire soon.

  4. Luminaire Report - A report for an individual luminaire, containing the luminaires full test history.
Can I email test reports to my engineers?

Yes, you can generate any of the 4 types of reports and have them sent to your engineers, or any contact you wish to receive the report.  The contact will receive an email containing a link to the report, which will open on their PC or mobile device in the web browser.  Once they view the report they will also have the option to download the report as an Excel document.
